Adele live at the Royal Albert hall.....

Just watched the "Adele live at the Royal Albert hall" concert on TV and oh my God what is she good !!

Love her music, her voice and I love her....

what a person, don't you agree !?

There's something I want to share with you guys

and that's that whole thing with Karl Lagerfeld (roll eyes)

I just love how she responds....

"I really do not want to be a skinny Minnie Mouse,

so if that's what's needed to be successful, then I pass."

With these words the British soul star Adele

served Karl Lagerfeld with a response.

She had been called 'too fat' earlier this week.

Lagerfeld is very impressed with the new generation of singers,

including Adele, but he made a rather unfortunate remark.

One thing bothers me at this moment. "She's a little overweight,

but she has a divine voice and a cute face."

Adele had already responded and said that she represents

the majority of women and is very proud of that.

Well spoken Adele ! the majority of women is 'a little overweight'

so to speak and not these, (sometimes even)

ridiculous stick figures we see in the fashion industry.

Just because the models have to be.....

I guess to make things look good !?!?

Who ever thought of that ???

But why mr. Karl Lagerfeld felt the need to make such a comment is your guess as good as mine....

it's easy to make a low remake,

I can also say "Why does Karl Lagerfeld always wear these ridiculous high collars,

what... to support his neck or else his head will fall off !?!?"

Anyways, all I want to say is that I love Adele and her music...

at least she's REAL !! = )

Today I finished this new Magnolia winter wonderland bag....

with a shaker creation

It's really fun making a shaker creation

and you can use those old gelatin sheets

you still have laying around somewhere ; )

Because you use foam pads all away around it looks

so much nicer when you decorate your creation

with a 3mm ribbon

Ohhhhhhh my God.... I had read that Eline Pellinkhof was coming

with a new range of baby cutting sheets (knipvellen)

And I just found picturs.... AAAAAA !!! = )

There will be 2 cutting sheets (knipvellen) & a paperbloc, stamp(s)

they're expected March 2012.... ohhhh I can't wait ; )

It has been a while since Eline created cutting sheets (knipvellen) and boy am I looking forward to this gorgeous & cute range.

Avenged Sevenfold makes a wish come true.....

I just had to share this video and picture with you guys....

as you know I love the band Avenged Sevenfold

I love their music but what I love even more about them is what

they are willing to do for their fans.

They not only let fans get up on stage to play one of the instruments and do a song

with the guys, they also take the time for fans...

And then they do this.....

The FC Cancer Foundation have shared a photo of M Shadows

and cancer patient Lizzy who were brought together through

the Make-A-Wish Foundation in May of 2011.

Lizzy’s wish was to meet Avenged Sevenfold

and M Shadows flew up to meet her on a day off

to make her wish come true.

The two were introduced on May 12th and kept in touch via text

until the news was delivered to him by her mother

that just a few days after meeting him Lizzy had passed away.

On May 15th the band dedicated their performance

of “So Far Away” to her. Lizzy, you are not forgotten.

Thanks to the FC Cancer Foundation and Avenged Sevenfold

for making Lizzy's wish come true !

And thanks to the person who shot the video

and shared it with the rest of us.

Sometimes you're surfing the internet

In the video M Shadows said at one point that The Rev

(who was their former drummer and passed away)

This video is a raw and emotional tribute to Avenged Sevenfold's late drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan and celebrates the long-time friendship the band members have shared since forming A7X in Huntington Beach, CA, in 1999. The video was directed by Wayne Isham, who has directed videos for such artists as Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Megadeth, and Def Leppard, among many others. The heartfelt quality of the video is in keeping with the emotional resonance of the song, a very personal goodbye to Sullivan that appears on the band's album Nightmare.

Merry Christmas.....

First of all.... Merry Cristmas everyone ! = )

I just finished getting things ready for tomorrow,

like decorating Christmas presents

(they're fake.... just for decoration)

Placing good old gingerbread men

in my little "La Cucina Pot" by Riviera Maison...

Hanging these little felt mittens on the doorknob...

and decorating the coffee table

You can burn a tealight in the white lanterns

and there's a winter home fragrance to make the room smell nice)

This I bought from my birthday money when I went to the Hague...

(didn't have time to hang it up)

I always wanted to visit the Riviera Maison store there,

so what better way to spent some of your birthday money while you're there ; )

I also bought the cheese board you see on the decorated coffee table

(not from Riviera Maison by the way)

This morning my mom asked me if I could bake a cake... OK !?

Now the left tin is her tin and the right one is a little tin I had for so long

and thought it would be funny to make a little cake for myself ; )

Funny isn't it.... it's almost the exact size as in this picture, hahaha =P

Ok the moment of truth....

Looks alright, doesn't it !?!? ; )

Anyways.... again I'm wishing everyone a Merry Christmas

Homemade apple crumble.....

I made a homemade apple crumble this afternoon because....

well does anyone need a reason for an apple crumble really !?

But this time there is a reason.... it's my 34 birthday tomorrow

and what better then an apple crumble....

So I started to soak the raisins in rum (hmmm)

cutting the apples and dust them with cinnamon...

then I made the dough....

greased the tin....

put 3/4 of the dough in the tin to make the bottom....

placed the apples and raisins soaked in rum (hmmmm again)

on top of the dough....

and scattered the rest of the dough over the apples....

The apple crumble baking in the oven....

don't you just love the smell of homemade pie,

the smell of cinnamon... perfect, it's so Christmas-like.

And there it is one apple crumble just out of the oven,

still has to rest and cool for an hour....

an hour later out of the tin...

soooo hard to resist, haha =P

Getting ready for Christmas..... part 2

Oke a few more Christmas decorations.... perhaps some of you remember the reindeer I made a few years ago, well I found these cute earmuffs (grey with white snowflakes) and "pimped" my reindeer, haha ; )

He's ready for a white snowy Christmas.... isn't he !?!?

And then there is this thing to keep out the draft....

had to take out the threshold because otherwise the new door wouldn't close, made a new simple threshold but then I ended up with a crack and when the wind is really blowing there was a draft.... not anymore ; )

Anyways, thanks for stopping by....

Getting ready for Christmas.....

I just love this time of the year..... getting ready for Christmas, just decorating the room and getting all cozy

Unfortunately you can't see it in the pics but I printed the word

-winter- and used embossing powder to give them a Christmas touch.

The two picture frames have a linen fabric with a bit of filling inside them and a few pins = )

And finally I could put up the Christmas tree and use my new powder soft pink Christmas ornaments

It's a bit difficult to photograph the Christmas tree with the lights on, but you get the idea right !? ; )

And I almost forgot the take a few pictures of my new painted and wallpapered room....

so this is the hobby corner ; )

And here are the bath products etc above the sink.... still need to put up the new mirror though =P

Maybe I'll take more pics of the room, but I'm not sure still want to keep a bit of privacy.

So we'll see..... or not hahaha ; )

Yes yesterday was the day..... the KreaDoe 2011 in Utrecht began

and boy have I been looking forward to this day ! = )

I went with my mom and Helga and I can say we had a wonderful fun filled day, haha =P

I made a "few" pictures to give you guys a little bit of an idea of that day....

At Home & Riviera Maison.....

Just bought the new issue of At Home magazine and saw that with a subscription you get a € 70,- gift voucher for Riviera Maison.... and instead of € 142,75 for 15 numbers you now pay € 72,75 !! = )

Perfect deal for me, haha.... I always buy this magazine at our local supermarket, but this deal is just me =P

So I just ordered my subscription and already I'm wondering what I can buy at Riviera Maison, hihi *blush*

Tonight it's movie night..... by the way last Wednesday I watched this movie called "Two can play that game" on TV and it's hilarious, you should watch it when you can.

But tonight it's DVD time..... this time the movie will be "Paranormal Activity" 1 & 2....

they should be very scary they say, haha.... so just a couple of lights on and a few candles....

Received a gorgeous gift.....

Today I want to share with you guys a very gorgeous gift I received a few days ago made by a very sweet lady called Karita

She made this creation and as you guys know I can fell in love with someones creation from time to time, this time it was no different, haha ; )

So I contacted Karita and asked her if her creation was for sale or if she could make another one for me

(of course I was willing to pay for it) because it would look perfect underneath the Christmas tree this year !

But because she was so honored that I showed an interest in one of her creations she wouldn't hear of paying for it and wanted to give it as a gift !! *shock*

And in shock I was.... now I was the one that was feeling honored *blush*

So to say (yet again) a great big heartfelt THANK YOU Karita I'm placing your creation here on my blog,

in what will hopefully be a big spotlight !! = )

If there's anything I could do.... always feel free to ask ; )

Doe&Ding demodagen......

Last Saturday were the Dutch demodagen at Doe&Ding in Spijkernisse and guess was there..... Eline Pellinkhof with her new book called "Eline's Winterhuis" (Eline's Winterhome)

Isn't it gorgeous (can't wait for my own copy to arrive)

Now I wasn't there to congratulate Eline personally.....

so by placing her in a spotlight right here on my blog is my way of saying

"Congratulations Eline with your second home decoration book !!" = )

A great big hug from me girl ; )

And guess who else was there..... Helga !! = )

Some of you already know her, but if you don't.....

she's a VERY sweet lady and a great friend a girl can have! ; )

Like I said I wasn't there last Saturday (unfortunately.... sorry girls !) but Eline was so kind to give all of us an impression of that day by placing these pictures on her own blog.

I asked her for permission to place them over here as well and she said yes ; )

Breast Cancer Awareness month....

It's breast cancer awareness month....

please show you care by doing the pink thing = )

Together we are stronger in our fight agaist breast cancer and of course other types of cancer

and as long as there are still people fighting we all should help !

FIGHT TOGETHER !!

It doesn't have to be with large amounts of money....

a few euros, dollars etc. also helps

or when you know somebody with cancer send him of her a card,

visit them, give them a call.... show you care !

But most of all.....

see them as a person

not for a person with cancer

or for a person who has an illness

( I think )

Woonmarkt Karwei.....

I just got back from the Karwei (DIY store) where they held a woonmarkt, that means lots of stuff for cheaper prices and I wanted these two side tables and TV cabinet for so long....

and I've got them !! = )

They are all from this brand called WOOOD and from solid oak,

I just love solid oak ; )

This Monday they will be delivered between 13:00 and 18:00.... looking forward to it ! = )

Now I'm going to rest because I've got a splitting head ache/migraine, thought it was a good idea to go to Karwei on my bike.... you know nice sunny weather, but the sun was burning and there was no shade what so ever.....

I felt like a fried chicken, haha =P

Probably got sunburned again.... I don't get a sun tan, nope I only get sunburned and get as red a lobster ! =/

Oh well I've got my TV cabinet and two side tables ; )

Look what I found this time in our local garden center.....

a reindeer !! = )

I also found some soft pink pinecone Christmas tree ornaments

hmmmm.... they are soft pink I promiss, haha ; )

When I saw the reindeer I immediately thought ohhh Eline Pellinkhof has got reindeer creations in her new "Eline's Winterhuis" (Eline's Winterhouse) book..... PERFECT !!

And a new fresh white bouquet.....

oh not from the local garden center by the way but from my favorite local florist ! =P

Finally they were open.....

They are so gorgeous these passion flowers, aren't they !?!?

I've been trying to photograph them for a couple of weeks now,

but everytime I walked by the flowers were closed....

not this time though = )

I bought them myself the last time I was at our local garden center for half price ! These however I saw growing through someone gate when I went for a walk one day to get my strenght back after the operation. But like I said everytime I wanted to photograph the flowers they were closed and passion flowers only grow until the end of September they say, haha so just in time... right =P

Hopefully my passion flower will have the same gorgeous flowers next year !? ; ) I just really love this plant..... those cute little "curly fingers" with which the plant holds on to everything so it can grow.... they look funny, like the spring in a clothespeg, haha.... and they are strong as well

Too early for a Christmas tree....... !?!?

Hmmm.... I guess it's too early for a Christmas tree,

isn't it !?!? =P

I was just at our local garden center (Intratuin) where they are getting everything ready for Christmas.... for Christmas !?!?.... yes for Christmas !!

I know it's just September but I love it when stores are getting ready for Christmas =P

Although the end of October or the beginning of November would be early enough, don't you agree !?

Anyways, for the last 3 years I was too late for the right seize soft pink Christmas (balls) ornaments, but not this year..... hahaha.... now I finally got my soft pink balls, haha =P

The smaller ones are a different shade of light pink and taupe..... perfect for my new room !! ; )

Speaking of my room........... I need to get painting again ! = )

But I just had to show you guys the Christmas balls first, haha......

Borders are painted.....

I've just finished painting the borders around the bare wall and now it's time for..... coffee !! = )

I was just in the garden giving a few plants some water and saw this.....

One wall is finally bare......

Pffffff..... one wall is finally bare, please buy a good stripping liquid when stripping wallpaper !!

I bought this product from a brand called OneParel and it SUCKS let me tell you, just buy good old Perfax.

You only need two small bottle caps of this stuff in 2,5 litre of water and 200ml of the "none working" stuff and then it still doesn't work =/ It makes the job so must easier when you use Perfax stripping liquid ; )

Tomorrow I'm painting the borders around the bare wall first and then when the paint had time to dry ask my mom to help me wallpaper the first wall ! = )

When that's finished move everything back into it's place and start moving all the stuff and furniture on the other side of the room, haha.... and start again =P

Nature can be beautiful and cruel at the same time......

On Sunday I already showed you guys these gorgeous Dutch roses and now two days later they are getting open which makes them even more beautiful, don't you agree !?

I just love to photograph them......

..... then I went into the garden and saw this huge bumblebee, because this one was I think 3cm's while other bumblebees are about 1cm big.... it had "trouble" walking on the flowers to get nectar, haha ; ) Did you know bumblebees could get this big !?!?

And then I saw this huge spider, also about 3cm's big that had caught a wasp for breakfast !

Yes.... nature can be beautiful and cruel at the same time ; )

Back from the check up.....

Back again from my check up in the hospital......

and the doctor was very pleased ! = )

He also said that it was a very good sign that we are using smaller catheters now (went from a 12 to a 8) and when we are cleaning the wound there's basicly no yukkie stuff anymore but more blood.

This because the body makes new blood vessels when the wound is almost clean and healthy and they are still so fragile these blood vessels they bleed very easily.....

We need to keep cleaning the wound and keep using this product called Kaltostat,

it looks like a piece of felt and it's algae based.....

Kaltostat pulls the bacteria out of the wound and even kills it !!

So hurray for Kaltostat.... I'm so grateful that the "girls" from Aafje came up with the idea to start using this product because just rinsing out the wound wasn't enough

and it would even take longer.

They have a lot more experience dealing with wound then a surgeon,

because they are useually nurses them selves

and they do the after-care.... not the surgeon ; )

And they also have two wound experts, so if they need advice they can always ask one of the experts.

The next check up is 4 weeks from now.... can't wait to see what the wound looks like then = )

Got to sneeze.......

Hatsjoe....... sorry got to sneeze I've got a bit of a cold ! =(

Luckily I don't feel sick or anything just my nasal cavities are closed up from time to time..... and then a runny nose or a sneeze.

I think there was a bit of draft in my wound.... hahaha =P

Anyways this afternoon it's time again for a new check up in the hospital.... very curious to hear what he has to say and if they are going to do another test to see if the bacteria is still there or not !? The wound looks very clean these last couple of days and there's basicly no yukkie stuff coming out more blood and that's a good sign they say, that means the tissue inside the wound is basicly clean and healthy ! Fingers crossed for me !! ; )

Hoping the new HobbyHanding 163 magazine is out because it contains lovely creations from the Eline's Winterhuis collection !!

So what do you think should I get some curls !?

Hmmmm..... no better not, but it is time for a visit to the hairdresser today.... finally !

The last time my hairdresser was so sweet to come to my place (because of that stupid gall bladder) so I looked good going to the hospital, haha.... and that's been over 2 months now =/

Normally I have "spiky hair" and there's no way I can create "spikes" with my hair this "long" ; )

So I'm going to treat myself with a visit to the hairdresser today

and also to "celebrate" that there's almost no yukkie stuff coming out of the wound anymore

and we are using thinner catheters since last night !! = )

Oh and I'm making a new creation.....

but you have to wait until it's finished =P

Started to remove the old wallpaper.....

This afternoon I started to remove the old wallpaper..... now the large pieces are easy to remove, but I have to remove everything even the older wallpaper that was still sitting underneath.

It all has to be concrete because the new wallpaper is fleece wallpaper.... oh well at least we have something to do.

By the way I could use all of your good luck wishes because I can win this "Hyannis Port Bench" by Riviera Maison.....

and I want it soooooo bad !! =P

I'm hoping.....wishing..... praying and keeping my fingers crossed until October 13th, not easy typing by the way, haha ; )

I need a cup of coffee......

Ok I need a cup of coffee....

pffff what a morning it has been so far !

It all started when I wanted to take a shower and all of a sudden the water was cut off.... not it's not that we haven't paid the bill, hahaha.... but they are working on the sewers in this neighbourhood.

There I was standing in the shower with a head full of shampoo and NO WATER !!!! =(

I was lucky to have bottled water (in the fridge, brrrr) but do you know how COLD it is to wash yourself with plain cold water..... blèhhhh =P

Anyways.... I did a good deed today... yep, I saved a bumblebee from a spiderweb ! = )

I just got home and saw the bumblebee struggle to get out, but the more they do that the more they get stuck.

So I got a piece of twig and pulled the bumblebee out.... placed it on a leave and after the bumblebee cleaned of its wings and leggs he flew away to collect more pollen = )

I know spiders have to eat as well, but eat those annoying mosquitoes or those dirty bluebottles in stead.

And last but not least a new bouquet of flowers....

I wanted white flowers again and this one was the only one at the florist, later I realized that the white anthurium has a special meaning..... anthuriums are used for funerals etc.

And what a coincidence because today it's exactly 1 year ago that my sweet dear old grandma passed away.

So I dedicate this bouqet to her ! = )

p.s. I had that cup of coffee in the meantime....

now it's time for a second one and to relax ; )

Painting again......

Finally the new door was ready to be painted white (and how beautiful white can be) so that's what I did today....

I bought a CanDo Calgary door about two months ago, but because of the operation it had to wait.

But now that I'm feeling better and have more energy I first painted the door post taupe last week.....

..... and today the door itself ! = )

I love to paint and wallpaper (with help from my sweet mom) and everything looks new when you give your home a "little make-over"... don't you guys agree ?? ; )

And the last time I did it was more then 10 years ago, so it was about time, haha =P

I have lots more to paint and I still need to wallpaper two walls, but we will get there one step at a time.

A bit of painting.... rest... paint some more.... rest again.... etc, etc..... ; )

Sometimes you're in luck.......

Sometimes you're in luck..... I was on my way to the shops when I saw this "old" coal-scattle complete with poker, shovel and a coaltong standing on the street ready to be picked up by the garbage man !!

Luckily I know the people who put the coal-scattle out on the street, so I went to the door... rang their door bell and ask them if they were really trowing the coal-scattle away.

(just making sure, haha)

And they were... so now it's mine ! = )

As you know love "old" stuff (brocante) so I'm really happy, like I said sometimes you're in luck ; )

Magnolia Edwin & Tilda a day at the seaside......

It's a rainy day today but not in Magnolia land where Edwin and Tilda went to the seaside to do some fishing.

I don't think the fish want to bite by the look on Edwin's face ; )

Now this creation isn't really finished, because I know I have a little glass jar with a cork... like these

but I have to find them first, hèhè.... =P I want to place it next to Edwin and place two fish bones in it... as a joke that the only thing he finds are fish bones and not one fish, haha.

This because Edwin looks a bit bored ; )

I placed real sand and some lace as seafoam that hits the shore

In the back you see a fish on a clothespeg where you can place for example a little card or a little envelope with some birthday money.

Tilda comes over to help Edwin and brought some sandwiches for lunch

My dream house

In my previous message I was dreaming about a ginger cat called Dikkie Dik or Ginger the "je-weet-wel" (the "you-know-what"... he's fixed) cat, a Siamese cat called Loedertje and a dachshund called Lotje. They all would have their own bowl from Riviera Maison, haha... but I forgot my dreams house !!

And this is it, it's near where I really live and it's such a sweet little house with water at the back of the house, with a little garden and even a place for bunnies (I also love bunnies) to run around in... I always have loved it since I was a kid and I still do ; ) Now I don't have real pictures of this house, maybe one day I will go up their and ask the people who live there for permission or not and take pictures without them knowing, haha =P On the place where this house was built was an old water mill at first.....

...... things have changed a bit haven't they ; )

But the house has a little replica of the water mill on it's "roof", if you look closely you can see it in the drawing which was made by a very nice man called Ad Bakker, he makes gorgeous art work and is so talented I think ! = )

Anyways you don't have to guess with which "brand" I would decorate my dream house.... hmmmm !?!? =P

Now I have no idea what the price is for a house like this (maybe I don't want to know, haha) but I can still dream, right !? ; )

Ohhh how life can be sweet..... I had my first cup of coffee since the operation and it tasted fantastic ! = )

And I can even eat chocolate again, hmmmmm..... heavenly =P

By the way the new collection by Riviera Maison is out now and I saw this picture on their website....

a lovely range of cat & dog products, just wish this very cute kitty was for sale haha ; )

Now I knew all of these three products were coming, so I saved up..... thanks Henk (CEO Riviera Maison) for the heads up ! = )

Magnolia Tilda playing tennis

I love the new Magnolia "The Winner Takes It All" stamp collection and this time I used the Tilda playing tennis.

Used soft colors such as... light blues, greys, yellows and soft light browns.

If you have a sweet tooth just like me (haha) you really should buy this Foodies Special magazine full with delicious recipes.... guaranteed to make your mouth water !! =P

I saw this magazine at the supermarket when I went for a walk

(I need a goal)

Now I went for a pretty "long" walk.... well "long" for me, haha and just got home a half an hour ago basicly looking like this......

....... dog tired.... uhhhhh I mean "cat" tired, haha... pffff my energy level is zero point zero at the moment.

I know it takes time to get back to where you were after an operation, but it still surprises me everytime !

Anyways, tomorrow another check up at the hospital.... curious to hear if they now know the lab results,

if they know what kind of bacteria it is maybe they have something (like medication) to help my body "kill" this bacteria so I'm healed quicker !?

It's already taken me three to four weeks and I want to paint and wallpaper my room, haha !! =P

For those who would like to know how things are going.... well first of all I'm feeling better since yesterday.

As you all know I was feeling a bit down for a few days, had a good cry (*blush*, haha) and after that I was feeling much better.

It's been such a rollercoaster that a good cry from time to time can help ! ; ) Since Monday we started to clean the wound from deeper within the wound with a syringe and a long catheter.... fortunately the catheter doesn't hurt at all = )

When we first started on Monday almost all of the catheter went in and it's a.... oh about 25cm long catheter, this morning about 10cm was still sticking out so that means that the wound is getting smaller and is healing from within like it's suppose to do = )

Oh something funny..... next to the wound I had a smaller wound... just half a centimetre and that one healed on it's own... just a tiny little hole was left. Now along the scare (underneath the skin) between the wound we are cleaning and that tiny little hole is tunnel and when the nurse is cleaning the wound and presses down on the syringe....... it looks like I sprung a leak, whahaha.... lol !! =P

Really funny to see this tiny little fountain ; )

Anyways... I'm going to try to get creative again today....

stamp a few new Magnolia stamps and mabye make a card or something !?

Feeling a bit down....

I'm feeling a bit down from time to time for the last three days =/

I think I'm mentally "exhausted".... looking back it all started a week before the operation with trying to catch a mouse for a week (not sleeping), then the operation.... laying in the hospital (with a lot of pain), then finally going home and after two days the wound gets open and for the last three weeks yukkie stuff (inflammation) coming out of the wound (and everything that comes with it)

Yesterday they (the nurses from "Aafje") started to wash out the wound with a catheter and a big syringe.

Now the catheter you don't feel.... but when they wipe the wound with sterile gauze I could kick them.... man that hurts !!

But I'm hoping that the wound will heal soon now.... because this way it takes forever !

And that's not helping me recover, so that's why my emotions got the best of me yesterday *blush*

Me having panic and anxiety attacks (I have does basiclly all my life) doesn't help either.... so I guess that's why I'm feeling a bit down at the moment.

I know there are worse things going on in this world.... but we all have our moments, right !? ; )

Thanks for listening, hihi I guess it also helps writting down your feelings... it doesn't have to be all happy stuff all the time !

I just got out of the hospital en the new Magnolia "The winner takes it all" collection wasn't even released for sale yet and this sweet Tilda Nurse was the first thing I saw when I got back on the internet.

And it was such a coincidence because of all the morphine I got for the pain, that I contacted Neline and asked her if this card was for sale..... and it was ; )

But she was on vacation so I had to wait until the second half of August... but here it is and I'm soooo happy with it, I love Neline's creations and they always get a special place in my room = )

Now I didn't take a picture of the card myself (still recovering) so credits go to Neline !

Goodmorning everyone, not much to tell.... just had a shower for the first time without the staples ! = )

I got up at 8:30 and it takes 2 hours from the time I get up, then breakfast and a shower... pffff, I always thought I took forever to get ready in the morning before the operation but when everything is healed and things are back to "normal"........ I think I've got time to spare, hahaha =P

Anyways.... hope everyone has a nice SUNNY day !

Went for another check up

I've just arrived home from another check up in the hospital and they took out all 18 staples ! = )

Now there are still 2 openings where the yukkie stuff (inflammation) comes out but luckily the yukkie stuff is only superficial or else they had to cut open the wound again.... no thank you !! ; )

First the nurse came with what I thought was a syringe but it was only a long thing to take a swab..... pfffff

Now I have to come back next week and in the meantime wash the wound 2x a day and check if I don't get a fever or when there's more yukkie stuff coming out of the wound then there's now.

If it does then it's back to the hospital..... again NO THANK YOU, hahaha =P

So keep your fingers crossed for me ; )

I'm going to rest for a bit........ talk to you guys later,

Lovely Treasures

Just sharing a picture of some lovely treasures I ordered.... hmmm I can't wait for them to arrive ! ; )

They are going to look so good in my hobby room as soon as I painted it and put new wallpaper on the walls.... looking forward to start, but first some healing to do ; )

Good news.... for the first time this Friday and Saterday I've gone outside to the shops !! = )

In a wheelchair though but it's soooo good to be outside again, now we keep the wheelchair in the shed when we are not using it.... but I would love to have my own "parking place" how about something like this......... hahahaha =P

Things are slowly getting better..... I've been watching the movie "Black Swan".......

....... a fantastic movie really worth watching !!

Oh and before I go I would like you guys to meet my doctor & one of the nurses/assistants from the OR the day I got my operation.....

Went for a check up

I just went for a check up in the hospital and things are going according to plan, two of the 20 staples are removed.... those 2 were from the arthroscopy (kijkoperatie)

So no more piercing in my belly button, hahaha =P

The other 18 staples are still there because there's still "a lot" of exudate (wondvocht) coming from the wound, so next week another check up to see how things are going then and if the staples can come out then. Other then that.... hmmmm the muscles on the right side are still very sensitive but that's because they had to cut them and there are sutures holding them together, so that still takes time to heal.

I also found out why I have a 23 cm long cut and why the arthroscopy didn't work..... it was too dangerous to do a arthroscopy because they couldn't see what was behind the gall bladder (or something like that) and they are not going to take the risk of damaging anything they shouldn't and me being at risk of liver surgery.

It puts things in perspective, because I'm better of with a 23 cm long scare then be at risk of liver surgery !! = )

So I need to keep doing what I'm doing and make sure I get plenty of rest (see photo, haha)

Back from the hospital.... at last !!

Hey there my dear blog followers & visitors... I'm finally back from the hospital since Saterday

and boy it has been a hell I can tell you =/

In case you don't know why I went to the hospital... I went there to get my gall bladder removed through a simple arthroscopy and went there last Monday morning at 7:15

(now before you read on make sure you want to, haha)

I was pretty calm but if I had known what was coming I would have jumped of the bed as they wheeled me into the operating room.

During the operation they couldn't get the gall bladder with the 1cm stone out throught the tiny holes and they had to go for the "old fashion way" was means I have a cut.. oh about 20cm long and a hole bunch of staples, plus the cutes from the arthroscopy AND one where a drain has been for the last week.

The hell I mentioned was the moment I came out of the anesthetic in a complete panic and sooooo much pain that it still haunts me from time to time.

I have been in a lot of pain this week (they had to give me morphine for 5 days) I couldn't eat and lost 3 kilos in these five days (that's not so bad in my case 'cause I'm no stick figure, haha) and I hate to not be able to sleep in my own bed, so no rest for me.

Now ALL of the nurses, the ladies who brought us coffee, tea and our breakfast/lunch/dinner, the fysioterapeut everyone they all have been sooooooo sweet and I have sooooo much respect for all the work they do day in day out every single day.... they are all running around like crazy.... nothing is too much and still they are undervalued and they want to cut in the finance of health care !?

Walk a week or even a day in their shoes !!!

Now I'm finally home I'm eating light meals and as long as I'm taking my medication on time I'm doing pretty good.... it will take a long time to heal but I'm getting such good care right here at home which I'm soooooo grateful for, so mom & dad.....

I can't believe it......

I just can't believe we've got a..... mouse !?!?!? Yuk =/

For the last few days we are trying to catch a mouse but still no luck, so last night we placed a mouse friendly trap with a piece of cheese with peanut butter on it.

This morning the cheese with peanut butter was gone.... but so was the mouse, can you believe it the trap didn't work !!

It's still alive in the attic where I have my hobby room... aaarrrggghhhh.

So we placed a lot of my stuff downstairs so the mouse doesn't have a lot of places to hide.

The mouse is trying to leave the room at night because it's stripping the wallpaper of the walls... fortunately I was planning on painting and placing new wallpaper on the walls, so the mouse is helping in a way, haha.

We don't want to let it out of the room because we want to know for sure it's gone !!

So tonight it's cheese with peanut butter again but this time with poison =(

The mouse needs to go... it really can't stay, but I love animals and I really didn't want to kill it... but like I said the mouse needs to go... before you know it you end up with a family mouse.

The mouse does look cute though =/

Hello my blog followers....

I'm not feeling so well because my gall bladder is playing up again and it's time to take it out ! =/

So yesterday I went back to the hospital and this Friday I need to come back for a pre-screening, where they will check if I'm "ok" and healthy enough for the surgery.

Then it's time to wait for that phone call where they tell me to come in.... bleh !! = (

But the pain isn't fun either..... so it needs to be done.

Anyways that's why I didn't had time to create a new Magnolia creation, but I like this one... hope you do to !?

Today we have a Magnolia a la Riviera Maison photo frame.... I saw this idea in the new Magnolia Ink magazine and thought wait a minute Riviera Maison has a photo frame like that ! = )

I'm thinking of making the suitecase (see Magnolia Ink magazine) to hold the photoframe... but what do you think should I leave the Magnolia pictures like this or "color" them black & white !?!?

It's raining outside.... and inside, haha I'm having a lazy day and while I was giving my plants water I thought why not take a picture of my Orchid who just got a "shower".

So it's also "raining" inside over here, hihi ; )

By the way does anyone of you have tips for keeping Orchids....

I would love to hear them !! = )

Oh before I forget.... the crochet Mary Jane shoes made by Tab arrived yesterday and oh my God they are even cuter in real life then on the pictures Tab made !!

She send them in a little white box and even place washing instructions in it.... too adorable ; )

I will take a picture soon, but like I said I'm having a lazy day, haha =P

Have a nive Pentecost (Pinksteren)

Today I want to wish everyone a happy Pentecost (Pinksteren)

I'm relaxing with a nice cup of homemade cappuccino ; )

I used the new "Friesche Vlag melkschuim" and it does work ! Although it works even better with a regular coffee and less with the coffee pads because of the cream that's already in those types of coffee... but it still has a fluffy layer and more important.... it tastes good, haha ; )

Anyways.... a nice way to relax, I think is to....

just make your favourite cup of coffee (or tea) put it in your favourite cup

(mine is by Riviera Maison... what else, haha)

sit down, put your feet up and ENJOY !! = )

Oh I had a piece of English fudge next to it, but that's already..... gone (blush) hahaha =P

You know it sounds so good... that I will have another one, hihi ; )

Don't you just LOVE this "Cabinet To Remember" by Riviera Maison !? I know I do, haha... but no room for it or the money, hahaha.... lol !! =P But a girl can dream right !? ; )

And have you seen this movie.... great film called "Burlesque" with Cher & Christina Aguilera, fantastic songs !

I bought the DVD and the CD which I'm playing over and over again ; ) It's sexy and a real art to do this burlesque thing.

Sometimes you're in luck.... and so was I today, because I went to Intratuin (garden center) and ALWAYS have look at the Riviera Maison section (I can't help it... I'm addicted, haha)

Now I've loved these Rustic Rattan file baskets for sooooo long and guess what.... today they were 2 for the price of 1.... aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh..... so you can understand that I couldn't pass by this oppertunity, right girls !? =P (wink, wink)

And except from an aaaaaaaaaahhhhh moment there also was an yeeeeeeaaaaahhh moment, because when I got home the postman delivered the new Magnolia "Rainbow" collection stamps !!! = )

Wow.... 2 Rustic Rattan file baskets for the price of 1, the new Magnolia "Rainbow" collection stamps and the sun is shinning on top of that.................... life can be FANTASTIC ; )

I do feel spoiled though (blush).... but if you don't tickle yourself from time to time, then who will !? ; )

Today is the day that William and his Kate married in front of millions & millions of people all around the world.... pffff no pressure or anything, haha ; )

I just love this picture of them and even though I don't know them personally (duh of course not, hahaha.... lol !) I want to wish them a very long and happy life together and hope that all of their dreams come true = )

Did anyone of you watch the ceremony !?!?

The moment where William was waiting in front of the altar for his Kate to arrive and Harry turned around... looked at Kate and then turned to his brother and said to him "She looks beautiful !" and William couldn't look for himself was so funny (to me) hahaha ; )

And the quick kiss and later the second kiss where Wiliam's face turned as red as his uniform.... was just too cute ; )

Hello hello my dear blog followers and visitors....

I prommised I would try to take a picture from the finished soft pink Easter eggs hanging in the Easter branches,

well.... here it is ! ; )

As you can see the vase looks like the leaning tower of Pisa, haha... but other wise the vase would have tipped over and all of the water would have destroyed

the pictures from my grandparents... now we can't have that !

During Easter I had these gorgeous tulips and.....

The soft pink cushions with inner cushions ; )

YESSS....... the inner cushions FINALLY arrived !! = )

So time to place them in the soft pink covers and to take in picture,

now the sun was shinning at that moment so the quality isn't great.

I'm REALLY loving the soft pink colour... what do you think !?!?

And don't you just LOVE these GORGEOUS "gerbera's" !?!?

They are soft "yellow" / off white

and the flowers are bigger then the regular size gerbera's.

It really feels like springtime now ; )

Magnolia "Butterfly Dreams" garland (slinger)

Hi everyone, finally a new creation made by little old me....

it has been awhile so it was time for something new ! ; )

This time a Magnolia garland (slinger) and fair is fair Nicole is the

one who "inspired" me....

I used seven stamps from the new Magnolia "Butterfly Dreams" collection,

Maja Design "Crea Diem" paper and some string.

It has taken me two days.... but it was well worth it !! = )

Last Friday was sooo much fun and look at what I bought....

ohhhh you get soooo greedy ! =P

First thing I did was visited Miekelotte to buy the new Magnolia

stamps from the Butterfly Dreams collection and asked

Neline to sign her new book "Kaarten uit Scandinavië"

Here she is giving a workshop to a couple of people later that day.

I went back to buy another card from Neline, I had already bought

2 Magnolia cards from her.... but loved the Eline Pellinkhof also, haha ; )

Lucky enough it was still there...... pffff !!

Don't you just LOVE her creations !?!?!?

I do...... and Neline, your cards got a special place.....

Crea Weekend Rijswijk

Are you guys ready for the Crea Weekend in Rijswijk

tomorrow/this weekend !?!?

I am, haha... boy do I have a long wishlist...

but not sure if I can find all the stuff I'm looking for,

I have a few ideas, so I'm REALLY hoping I can find everything.

I'm sooo looking forward to tomorrow...

I'm like a pup that can't hardly wait to go out for a walk, whahaha..... lol !! = P
